Holley overflow?

I have a new reconstruction of marine Holley 4160 600 cfm carb that fits and idles perfect gas until it starts to flow (streaming) over the primary butterflies. This is not always and sometimes starts after 30 seconds or 1-5 minutes, turn off the engine and has to disapered …. I Sheck level and seems ok, no fuel coming out of the opening / J-pipe overflow or out of the Venturi tubes, only a stream in throttleplates just idling that good = the engine to die. Anny suggestions are welcome. Thanks, Frank

Definitely A float Stick. Usually this is caused by a hyphen or the approximate point where the needle engages the float arm. It is easy to see or feel when he dismounted. Only sand rough spots and you should be OK, but check the needle tip to make sure not to slip and gouge. If you bought rebuilt, take it back. Good Luck!
